Junior Auxiliary members donate their time to collect personal hygiene supplies at various locations around town. These supplies are combined to make hygiene boxes full of supplies for needy children in our area as well as have back-up supplies for the schools.
The goal of the F.R.E.S.H. Project is to focus on providing children in Lafayette County, Mississippi with the items which are most needed to help promote good personal hygiene.
The need for personal hygiene products for youth in the area is the target for the F.R.E.S.H. project. Since its inception, the program has served more than 300 children across Oxford and Lafayette county.
When assisting individuals with personal care, we strive to be especially mindful of professional ethics. These ethics or principles become routine as they are practiced and applied each day.
- Respect: We strive to respect the youth and help others recognize their value. Personal care should be provided with dignity and respect for the individual.
Promoting Physical and Emotional Well-Being: We strive to support the emotional, physical, and personal well-being of individuals receiving support. Personal care should be provided safely and in a way that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of the individual.
- Confidentiality: We strive to protect and respect the confidentiality and privacy of the youth supported. An individual has the legal right to have his or her support needs kept confidential and to privacy for personal care.
- Honesty and Responsibility: We strive to support the mission of our organization.
- Self-Determination: We strive to support the youth in directing the course of their own lives. Individuals have the right to direct how personal care is provided.
